Biography
New Ham 6.13.2017 KI7OFL
Tested locally with my brother KI7OFN following my son (First "Countryman" Ham in Arizona) KI7LLD.
We have a goal of being able to find and communicate with each other via Simplex, APRS, the local repeaters, WINSYSTEM and DSTAR depending on the conditions and limitations. Ham radio will be in service on every hunting trip as cell service is often missing.
I was a Radio Shack Kid in the 70's, purchased crystals for the frequencies I wanted. Took apart my first shortwave radio as I tried to understand how it all worked.... Never did get it to operate again.
I am a School Bus Salesman, have ran multiple HD Garages, have worked with the 162nd ANG Comm/NAV in the late 80's with the F16.
My bigger project is the 27T Rod in the garage, Model A Frame, touring body, small block 388 Stroked Chevy with maybe 400hp. Some day I hope to actually drive it instead of working on it all the time.
