Biography

I'm a 40 year old (as of 2026) CyberSec/Networking/Information Technology enthusiast. I started in amateur radio on a Baofeng like many others. I'm a Copier Repair professional in middle management here in Billings Montana. I thoroughly enjoy SDR and Meshtastic transmitters/receivers. Sprinkle in some Raspberry Pi fun, and I'm happy as a clam in the high tide! I find you can do so much with the signals that float around us on a nearly consistent basis every day. With the advances in demodulation within the SDR community there ALWAYS some kind of RF around that you can listen/watch with VERY affordable hardware and some pieces of wire.
Also, I'm not exactly sure why it says I'm only a technician class. I'm really in general. But, I'll have to figure out why it's not updating on here...??

Equipment

Yaesu FT-887 on an sloping and inverted V. Several Baofeng and other Chinese HT's. The majority of my time is spent on the SDR receiving side of the RF world. Thanks for stopping by!
