Biography

I am a simple dx chaser so to speak. If you grew up in the mid to late 70's and the early 80's of the 11 meter days that's where I got my start. I was introduced to 11 meters when I was ten years old. My first radio was a JcPenny 23 channel base station given to my brother and I on Christmas Day 1976 at the age of eleven.

I did finally receive my license in 1991. I go by the name Tony and my QTH is about fifty five miles north of Dallas in small town called Sanger, TX.

As far as radio equipment, I run a Yaesu FTDX 1200 and use all resonant home brew wire dipoles at my normal qth and when portable I use a Yaesu FT991A.

When running more fire in the wire i use my Ameritron ALS600. My main mode is cw, but do get on ssb in the evenings on 3.806. I do enjoy exchanging QSL cards from all my DX contacts, but I'm out that moment.
