Biography

Served in the U.S. Army for 30 years. Fought in Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan). Was wounded in Iraq in 2007 (Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars). Retired from the Army in 2014, bought a farm in Lowemont, KS and now I am a farmer. Been married to the same woman for 36 years, who tolerates my HAM addiction as long as it doesn't interfere with my chores, and because it keeps me out of her hair. I would rate my HAM expertise as "clueless" but getting better. I like the idea of the old fashion QSL cards, where people mail contact cards to the person they made contact with. I even had some made up to send to other HAM operators. If you have your own card, I sure would like to have one.
