| Biography I was born in 1957 and live in Noth Fort Myers Florida. I hail from Leesburg, IN on Tippecanoe Lake. I have been a extra class ham for 30+ years. I am a retired full-time fire fighter and was a Postmaster for 30 years of which I also retired from. My interests include skeet shooting, hunting, fishing, computers and ham radio. My primary rig is the Yaesu FT-1000MP with the Yaesu VL-1000 solid state amp running into the MFJ 998RT tuner into my Grey Line Preformance 24' flagpole antenna. I also run as a secondary rig into the back of my 1000MP for other digital modes the Yaesu FT-840 with the Signal Link outboard sound card. My UHF & VHF hoppy consists of the Kenwood TM-271 2 meter rig, the Yaesu FT-857 hf/uhf/vhf rig and the Kenwood TM-732A dual bander. I also have as my back-up a Kenwood TM-440S w/tuner and a Ten-Tec Titan amp. I have recently entered the digital voice mode, D-Star, running the Icom ID-5100D and the 3.5" TCIF Hotspot. I normally can be found talking to my friends on XLX824D. I can also always be found on Florida's SAR Net repeater network. My beautiful wife, Julia, and I also enjoy rescuing greyhounds. We have a 6 year old brindle female named Brandy. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
