Biography

I originally got into ham radio so that I could fly tracking transmitters in high power rockets. Since then, I've participated in a number of ham radio activities including satellite communications, fox hunting, emergency comms, VHF/UHF weak signal, HF, digital modes, APRS, balloon tracking, repeater site building, contesting, JOTA support, and so on.

I was President of the High Desert Amateur Radio Group in Central Oregon from 2011 through 2014 and I've been an active participant in the local ARES group.

Equipment

My equipment lineup is constantly changing, but my primary radios are:

Kenwood TM-D710A
Kenwood TH-F6a
Icom IC-706 MKII
Alinco DR-605 (in need of repair)
Kenwood TM-241 (in need of repair)

Signalink USB
MFJ 945

DX Code Of Conduct

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
