Biography

This club is a non-commercial association of persons interested in Amateur Radio, and organized for the promotion of interest in Amateur Radio communication and experimentation and education; service to the community in times of emergencies as well as community service when requested at other times; for the advancement of the radio art and the public welfare; for the representation of the radio amateur in legislative matters; and for the maintenance of scholarly and high standards of conduct. It is a non-profit organization and is open to all persons interested in Amateur Radio without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, handicap or sexual preference.

Our first adventure will be the 2013 ARRL Field Day on June 22 and 23. Our field day operations will be open to all, hams or not, and is meant to be more of a test than a contest. If you're in the vacinity that date, stop by and help us make a few contacts and you can make a few ham friends at the same time. We will be located at 11640 Highway 77 just north of Panama City, FL and immediately south of the 77 Extreme Paintball Range. FD update - we took 4th place in 2A-NFL and came in 143 out of 440 entries in 2A overall.

For Field Day 2014, we operated 3A NFL with 7 operators, a GOTA station, and a station dedicated only to RTTY, a TS-590S driven by a Commodore 64 and Microlog AIR-1 firmware - made a total of 74 RTTY contacts on 80m, 40m, 20m, and 15 meters, and a combined 842 contacts for a 3,000+ score!

For 2019 we were 2A Commercial, Northern Florida - logged 369 contacts on CW & FT8 on 40m thru 6m.

Worked DXCCs:
