Biography

First licensed in 1967. First as WB2LJA then KF4DS then KE2AA (since 1985).

21 years commissioned service in the US Army and 22 years in the ultra hazardous waste disposal and petrochemical industries until retiring in 2019.

I operate primarily FT8 and occasional SSB.

HF radios: Icom 7610, Xiegu X6100, QRPLabs QMX+, SEA222, homebuilt 100 W amplifier with internal tuner, Transworld TW-500A amplifier, and Hallicrafters SX-101 MK III/HT32B (undergoing restoration) in the fixed station, and IC7300 in the RV.

HF antennas and tuners: 43 ft vertical with LDG-RT-600 remote tuner and remote 80m loading coil; Mosely 33-A mini beam at 26 ft, MFJ-986 tuner, and ATAS-120A/long wires with remote tuner in the RV.
