Biography

First licensed in 1963. BSEE. Often dancing (square, round, ballroom) instead of on the air. Was once (decades ago) part of the W0RLI packet BBS network. Current interests include FT8, JS8call, and improving my CW. Member ARRL and local club GSARA. I can't seem to get excited about digital voice. Write code in Python, C, various assembly languages, occasional shell script, avoid using several other languages that I know (C++, Java, etc.). I may try some SOTA and/or POTA this summer, depending on health.

Active: FT-991A, KX3, TH-D74. Still stored in the basement: Knight T-60, FT-301D, Alinco DX-70, IC-260, modified (for packet frequencies) IC-22S, MD-380, various junk. Current operating antenna is a low end fed, occasionally and Alex Loop or MP1.
