Biography

Just got into ham radio in late January of 2020. Hobbies besides ham include juggling, SCUBA, and Scout stuff. I help run the Denver Java users group too.

Equipment

My starter "rig" was a Baofeng UV-5R with a Nagoya antenna; upgraded to a Yaesu FT-70DR with a Diamond antenna; just recently upgrade to a Diamond NR770 mobile antenna sitting on a mag mount in my kid's old room for my FT-70DR. Only made contacts on local repeaters and via AMERICA LINK, NEBRASKA HUB, and a few other rooms in Fusion mode.
Got a hot spot and use that instead of Fusion supporting repeaters; it's been great because I don't get kicked off a repeater during a net.
