Biography
First licensed in early 1977 as a novice with call WD4ANF, one year later I had my 20 WPM code Extra license with call KD4K.
Worked with General Motors from 1963 til 1993 when I retired with full retirement at the ripe old age of 47. I have never worked since and really love being retired ane doing what I like (Ham Radio).
Equipment
For HF I use a Kenwood TS-2000 feeding an Ameritron AL-1500, 1500 watts to a 5 element 5 band Quad at 70 feet.
For VHF/UHF I run a Yaesu FT-736R driving the following amps and antennas.
2M = a converted AM-6154, amp 600 watta to a 19 element boomer antenna at 55 feet.
432 = Converted AM-6155, amp 400 watts to a 9wl Msquared yagi at 60 feet.
222 = converted AM-6154, 600 watts to a 10 element Msquared yagi at 50 feet.
6 meters = converted LK600, 1200 watts to a 4 element Quad at 45 feet.
