Biography

Had been a 11 meter SSB operator for years and decided in 2015 to get my amateur license. After passing my tech exam late February of 2015, I started to study and passed my General in August. Looks like I am going to have to work on getting Extra soon! Been married for over 40 years have three children and 5 grandchildren scattered about the country..I really enjoy the QSO's during the cold winter months here in SW New York State...3's to all and hope to catch you on the air waves!

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

Yausu FT-757gxii, Kenwood TS-530s. either my handheld stock mic, modified D-104 or my favorite studio mic system A Pyle PDMIC58 through a Behrenger ub-802 mixer..running it all through an AT100M 1.8Mhz-30Mhz Pro Antenna Auto Tuner into either a dipole or an inverted 20m "v".. Currently in the process of building a directional 2m/70cm yagi.. Also have a Baefong UV-82L-HT, GT-5TP and a Leixen 898E 2m/70cm mobile i use as a base unit on a home built "J-pole"..
