| Biography First licensed in 1976 as WB9YSP. Started out with a DX60B and SX111 followed by a set of Kenwood twins. Ran a 2 el Gem Quad and then later 4 el mono banders at 50/60 feet for 10 and 15 meters as a novice. Yes it did kick ass but had to be replaced with a 6 el tribander when I upgraded. Might as well have been an omni directional antenna. F/B ratio was horrible. Equipment Remotehams.com, SDR-Radio, Softrock Ensemble RXTX. Just started putting new shack together at new to us QTH. Considering a KX3 unless someone can convince me otherwise. I need a radio to be able to take with me out of town. Looking at a Flex 6700 or an Elecraft K3 for the shack. Waiting for a few others to be the FLEX 6700 guinea pigs before deciding. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
