Biography

GGreetings,

My name is Frank Carbonara and I am known in the ham radio world as KB9RKK.

I'm located in Mount Juliet, Tennessee.

I am 55 years of age and in addition to amatuer radio and electronics, I love to tinker with all sorts of things including motorcycles and automobiles.

I am a member of the Wilson Amateur Radio Club (WC4AR), a member of the W4EAO radio group (affiliated with Wilson County Emergency Management Agency (WEMA), as well as member of the Mount Juliet Simplex Society (KN4FKV).
For more information on the Mount Juliet Simplex Society visit our website at - https://146415.net/

My main HF rig that I am currenlty using is an Icom 7300 (100w) transceiver coupled to a multiband EFHW (80 thru 10 Meter) antenna.

I recently added a Mercury 3S HF Solid State Linear Amplifier Kit to my station. It was fairly simple to assemble and so far has worked very well. I can't say enough good things about this kit that I purchased from KM3KM (www.km3km.com).

My second rig is an ICOM 9700 (2M/70CM/23cm), currently being used with a Diamond X510HDM dual band antenna on an eve mount.

In my SUV, I am currently using an Icom ID880 dual band (VHF/UHF) FM/D-Star mobile, with a Comet CSB-790A roof rack mounted. If needed, I have a Mirage 160 Watt VHF Linear Amplifier for use on 2 meters.

Thanks for visiting and I look forward to seeing you again on the bands.
