Biography

I was licensed as a Novice, KB7MXF, back in 1991. Life happened and my license expired. I tested for my Technician license in January 2010, and upgraded to General in March 2010. Got the call sign KF7HCL in January, but applied for the vanity call I have now so that my Dad, brother, and I have consecutive calls. I have been very active ever since. I'm a member of OMISS, YL-ISSB, ARES, and 10-10X, SATERN, ARRL, and can be found on Ham Radio Nation as well. Most active on 20M. I use the ARRL bureau, OMISS bureau, eQSL, and always direct QSL - no SASE required. I do have an LOtW account, but only use it if it is requested, so if you need WY on there just let me know and I will attempt to get the QSO logged and uploaded.
I enjoy rag chewing, nets, contesting, chasing DX, county hunting, and collecting QSL cards.
I am a married stay at home mom with 2 kids currently at home, so I am lucky to have quite a bit of time to spend in my radio shack. My husband supports my hobby completely and that means a lot to me. Maybe one day I will get him talked into testing and I can get him on the air with me hihi
