Biography

Acquired my Novice ticket March of 1986. Passing the 5 wpm code granted HF Phone privilege on the 10 meter ban, 28.300-28-500.
That summer I purchased an complete HF System. Kenwood Twins R-599A, T-599A and S-599, 10’ section of tower, 12’ mast, Alliance rotor, coax, guyed wires and a Moonraker 4, tuned to 28.400 MHz. That’s all that was needed!
By 1989 Solar Cycle 22 peeked and 10 meters was wide open.
Worked the world in 24 hrs.
