Biography

Welcome and thanks for visiting my page. I have been licensed since 1994. I upgraded to General class in 2008 and I am a member of the FT8 Digital mode Club, 30 Meters Digital Group, and the Digital Modes Club.

My "radio career" started at the age of 17 as a Short Wave Listener.and then moved on to scanner listener in the late '80's,

I had been exposed to amateur radio through my Father, WB2QHI (SK). He finally convinced me to get my ticket in the Summer of 1994 and I'm sure glad he did. My primary activities are HF SSB, Digital Modes, SSTV, Satellites. I am polishing up my skills and hoping to Finally upgrade to the Extra Class ticket.

My current station consists of a Yaesu FT-991A and FT-857D with a signalink for Satellite work, a Ranger RCI-5054DX-100 for 6 meters, and an Ameritron AL-811 for those poor Propagation days on HF SSB. My portable equipment consist of the Alinco DJ-580T/E and a Wouxun KG-UVD1P for 2 Meter and 70 cm repeater use.
