Biography

Ham since April 1989.
Enjoy Camping, Fishing, Photography. I am involved with Radio Scouting in our local BSA Council by helping with radio demonstrations and help teach the Radio Merit Badge. I am currently registered as a Assistant Scoutmaster for my grandsons Troop. I got back into scouting in 2013 after 10 years when my grandson joined Cub Scouts and asked me to help. I was his Den Leader for 5 years and went with him into a Troop.

Equipment

QTH:Icom 718, Icom CT-17, LDG tuner and SignaLink USB. Current antenna is a end-fed Antenna 33 feet long.

Portable: Yaesu FT-891, Alpha Antenna 6-40 FMJ, MFJ tuner. I use a Deep cycle marine battery for power. I carry this with me when family camping and any Scout Camp out or events.
