Biography

I got interested in radio when I was a teenager and over the years I've taken time off from the hobby now and then. But I've always tried to keep a rig available when the urge hits me.
At the moment I am in to chasing a little DX and would like to venture more in to SDR.
I run PSK31, SSTV, JT65, SSB, CW, and any other mode that I can modulate.
If you here me on the air, give me a call. I'm can rag chew, or I'm ok with the 5/9 wham bam too.
It's all fun for me.

Equipment

Kenwood B2000 ran by HRD ver. 5.24.0.38
Antenna is a dipole fed by ladder line via an MFJ tuner up about 25 feet.
I have an old Dentron 160-10L that runs 4 572B's close to a KW out.

Future upgrades: I want to install a Beverage antenna.
Also would like to install some phased vertical delta loops for 40.
I have an inverted L for 160 that needs the coax ran to it, which I have some LMR400, just need to run it out there about 200ft. I will also run an inverted L for 80 off the same feed line.
I've also got a free standing tower and a TH7DX laying in the barn that needs
refurbished. It has a TA33 as a companion out there :)
And I have a heavy duty Yaesu rotor to spin it all with.
What I don't have is the time to stick it in the air.
This 2016 spring I hope will be the day we fly the beam..
