Biography

I was originally liscensed in 1986. Got my Extra in 1982 and became a VE and ARRL Instructor.

My Wife is N3KFP. She and I are both in Skywarn, ARES and RACES.

Our Son, James, is a new ham, KC3BNH. My wife is working on her General.

On July 5, 2017 my son passed his General and Extra class exams in the same session. His call is now AJ3JA which is a vanity call, Alexander James 3 James Alexander.

Equipment

HF: Kenwood TS-480 SAT on a 80 meter dipole which is actually a slightly inverted V and a Signalink USB soundcard.

2 Meter: Kenwood TM-281 on a home brew J pole.

I enjoy contesting and recently have gotten into digital and keyboard CW.

I am retired from the computer industry, but still do some programming.
