Biography

I first got into Ham radio around 1981 as KA9LDP, shortly after that I upgraded to Tech with the call N9CQJ. After that I got out of Ham radio and lost my call by not renewing. Got back into Ham radio in 2005 with the call KC9GEK. Upgraded to General shortly after that with the call K9PBR. I am currently working on getting my extra.

After about a year of having RF issues, and audio problems. I think that is all behind me now. I have had nothing but good reports on the Flex 3000. And if I can hear them I can work them. If you are thinking of buying a Flex. Buy it. I highly recommend them. They are a joy to operate. The receivers are excellent. Filters top notch. I still have alot to learn about the Flex, But I love it and would not trade it for anything.

Equipment

My station is a Flex 3000, Ameritron AL-80B, LDG AT1000 auto tuner, Heil HM 12 mic, Hercules MP3 E2 DJ board for radio control. And a G5RV antenna.
