Licensed 1961 as KN9FSY, moved to General within a year K9FSY then moved to Extra in the 1980's with AA9LQ and finally got the vanity call of K9FS.

Enjoy working CW mostly on 80-10 meters. Currently, I am a Associate Advisor with CWops CW Academy. CWops has a great group of Advisors with students all around the globe. Classes are free for students...the best deal out there. Check them out at www.cwops.org.

Received my DXCC in 2015 and working on DXCC for QRP.

Equipment

Rig is a FT-990, Winkeyer USB, Elecraft KX1, Emtech 30 meter QRP. My favorite is the KX1. Antenna tuner is a Nye-Viking. Key is a single paddle Kent.
Antenna is a 40-10 Zero-Five Vertical, up about 16 feet at the base.
