Biography

HI! My name is Donnie. Originally from Flora, IL. Now live in Terre Haute, IN. Back In 1993 or 94 I started getting interested in radios. My 1st radio was a Craig 23 Channel base CB radio. I talked on 11 meter for 14 years or better. Well a few years ago I meet Three Ham Radio Operators ( Matt - KB9NSG, Tim - W3VTM & Larry -KB9QWM ) and every time i talked to them they always tell me " GET YOUR TICKET " or " HAVE YOU GOT THAT TICKET YET?" well few years later i finally took their advice and took the Tech Exam and passed it on 01/12/2012. I have always been interested in radios in general ( CBs, Ham, Police Scanners, ECT ) for as long as i remember. I don't know what got me hooked on them but I'm sure glad it happened cause if not i may had never learned or ever heard of Amateur Radio, I tell you what getting my Amateur Radio Licenses had been A real pleasure. I have meet so many new and GREAT! people.

I am now active in Vigo County Emergency Communications Team and also involved in Illiana Skywarn Based Here In Terre Haute ( Vigo Co. ) Indiana .

I am currently studing to upgrade to Extra Class so i can get the whole affect that Amateur Radio has to offer.Well not sure what else to say so I'm gonna leave well enough alone HI HI.
