Biography

Last updated 4-10-2026.

Please see my full bio on QRZ.com. I've not been very active for the past year or two, except for contesting, but I hope to change that. Haven't been a ham long (since March 2010), and even though I'm now an Extra I still have a lot to learn.

I definately need to be more active on the bands. And I'm a strong supporter of paper QSLs! They're timeless!

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

Yaesu FT-2000D (Primary), Kenwood TS-440SAT (Secondary).I sold my Drake TR-4C with the MS-4, MN-4, and W-4, as I didn't have room anymore for it.
I use an Ameritron ALS-600 with an MFJ-989D tuner.

Also have a Globe Scout 680 and Hallicrafters S-40B that are 100% operational. My dad started out with a Globe Scout 680 and S-40B back in 1958 and I wanted to re-create his shack equipment since I'm continuing on with his callsign.

My mobile rig is a Yaesu FT-857D with a Yaesu ATAS-120A antenna, and my base antennas are a tribander and fan dipole.

DX Code Of Conduct

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
