Biography

Check out my QRZ page https://www.qrz.com/db/K7REX

I was first licensed as a Novice Class (KN7REX) in 1961 and currently hold an Amateur Extra Class license. Amateur Radio has taken me on an incredible journey that has included a wide range of digital (including CW) and voice operating modes.

I served eight years with the US Navy as a Radioman, followed by several years in Information Technology (IT) working for both fortune 500 companies and the government sector. I retired as an IT Administrator for FLSmidth, a Denmark-based global engineering company.

I also hold an FCC Commercial Radiotelephone license and an FAA Commercial Pilots license.

I mainly operate from our home in Boise, Idaho, but you may also hear me on from our summer cabin at Grandjean, Idaho, located at the foot of the Sawtooth Mountains.

I am the ARRL Section Manager for Idaho.
