Biography

My dad--the original K5HYL--tried to keep me interested in radio back in the 60's. I got a license, but never practiced my code and eventually lost interest. I'm sorry he's not around to share my interest in radio.

I am a W5YI/ARRL VE. I participate in local ARES and SkyWarn. I enjoy working digital modes. I have GMDSS Radio Operator/Maintainer License (with Ship Radar Endorsement) and am slowly working on my T certificate.

I am a jazz musician, and I am also a cyclist when time and the weather permits.

DX Code Of Conduct

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
