Biography

Following my retirement in Oct 2012, I returned to Amateur Radio after a 20 year hiatus. I was licensed as KA5KFN in 1980, WK5I in 1986, and K5DC in 1998.

I am a charter member of the Lone Star DX Association. I regained my DXCC Honor Roll status in 2014. Prior to my rejuvenation in 2012 I had never worked a station on the WARC bands, 160M, or 6M. These have provided new opportunities -- and challenges. I've been working on band-countries and I now have 8BDXCC, plus a few on 160M and 6M. I also participate in Club Log Leagues and in the Limited Class (
