Biography

I joined the United States Air Force in 1963 and was trained as a Radio Relay Equipment Repairman. In this career field I was required to install and operate microwave telecommunications systems with multiplexers for multiple telephone and teletype communications. In the beginning all of my equipment was tube to later be replaced by equipment with transistors and integrated circuits; with a Klystrons for use with Tropo.

I became a ham as a Technician in Mar 27, 2012 and with my past in electronics with the USAF, and with some hard study, I was able to obtain my General May 28, 2012 and Extra Mar 27, 2013. I encourage everybody to continue until you reach Extra as the additional privileges are really worth your time and study.

Thanks for visiting my page and hope to make contact with you on SSB and digital. CW is still in my dreams but thus far I do not seem to have the ear for it.

Please call me "Charlie."
