Biography

Hello, my name is Bob. I will be 67 yrs, old in June of this year(2017) I am married to my lovely wife Tammy. Together we have 5 children and 7 grandchildren. I worked as a Nurse Anesthetist for 32 yrs. I am retired now and enjoy all facets of amateur radio. My primary interest is collecting restoring and operating vintage equipment.. I was first licensed as a novice in 1977. I am Now Amateur Advanced class.

Equipment

My AM station consist of a Collins 20V-2 converted broadcast transmitter operating at reduced power on 40,75,and160 meters and a Collins R390 receiver. My SSB station is a Yeasu 757GX transceiver and a Command Technologies Commander HF2500 Amplfier. My other equipment includes : Receivers,National NC 183, Collins 75-A4 ,Heathkit HR-10B , Hammarland SP-600, BC348, RME 69, Sunair Electronics GSR 920, Philco car radio with a Gonset Three Band Amateur converter. Heathkit sixer Six meter transceiver . Transmitters: Heathkit DX100B, Heathkit DX 60B, EF Johnson Viking Ranger II, Gonset Commder II, EF Johnson Viking Adventuer. Tuners: Johnson Kilowatt Matchbox.Palstar AT5K Plus, Homebrew link coupled tune ,relay switched from 10-160 meters by W0VMC.
