| Biography Please visit https://www.qrz.com/db/K3SNO for more info. Worked DXCCs: Equipment My shack currently consists of an Icom IC-7300, an Icom IC-821H, a Yaesu FT-991 (backup radio for the previous two radios), an Icom IC-551D, an Icom IC-R7000, and a Yaesu FL-2100B (hardly ever used it) linear amplifier. Headset/Microphone is a Heil Pro-Micro, Single-Side, Dynamic mic (and some judicious settings on the radios). My current antenna system is a Hy-Gain PATRIOT-PLUS AV-680, 9-band vertical, with an MFJ-998RT Remote Intelli-Tuner mounted below the antenna, all mounted on a 12 foot tilt-base mast. Both the antenna and the tuner are rated for for full 1500w legal limit (US). I will be installing a Granite State Antenna (www.k1jek.com) - UltraLite Senior, a 160m-10m, 140' long, triple-folded doublet type antenna. This will go up in the very near future. For mobile operations I use an FTM-200DR Mobile rig and a Yaesu FT-65R handheld for walk-about operations. Other shack gear includes a Comet GP-3 and 2m/70cm Dual-Band Yagi for the IC-821H rig, an All-Band Discone antenna for both the IC-R7000 and an SDR wall display monitor, and various other smaller hand-helds and sundry items. All antenna calibrations are performed with a NanoVNA and a laptop running Linux and NanoVNA-Saver software. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
