Worked DXCCs:
Equipment
My shack currently consists of a Yaesu FT-dx10, a Yaesu FT-991A, an Icom IC-821H, an Icom IC-551D, an Icom IC-R7000, and a Yaesu FL-2100B (used once) linear amplifier. Headset/Microphone is a Heil Pro 7, Dynamic Element Mic/Headset with some judicious settings on the radios.
My current antenna systems include; 1) a Hy-Gain PATRIOT-PLUS AV-680, 9-band Vertical (6m & 10m-80m), with an MFJ-998RT Remote Intelli-Tuner installed below the antenna, mounted on a 18' (5.5 m) tilt-base mast. Both rated @ 1500w legal US limit; 2) The K3SNO 610-DBRDA which is a 6 meter/10 meter dual-band, mutually coupled rotatable dipole on a YAESU G-450ADC Rotator System installed at 25 feet; and 3) The Granite State Antenna (www.k1jek.com) - Ultra-Lite Sr., is a 160m-10m x 140' long triple-folded doublet, paired with an MFJ-941E Manual Versa-Tuner II.
For mobile operations I use an FTM-200DR Mobile rig pared with a Comet CSB-770OA Mobile 2m/70cm antenna, and a Yaesu FT-65R handheld for walk-about operations. Other shack gear includes a Comet GP-3 for the IC-821H VHF/UHF rig, an All-Band Discone antenna for both the IC-R7000 and an SDR wall display monitor, and various other smaller hand-helds and sundry items. All antenna calibrations are performed with a NanoVNA H4 and a laptop running Linux and NanoVNA-Saver software.
