Biography
Starting Amateur Radio as a dream back in Germany, when I was to young for a license (that's right, you got to be 18 years) and no money for the equipment. So I started with CB first and only waited around 40 year to make the childhood dream reality, and becoming a HAM using this simple setup below.
With all Amerteur Radio classes passed (Extra Class since 2015), I have a very small but effective setup. Special thanks to K3EJJ (Maurice) who help me big-time setting up the 160m horizontal loop. Together with my ICOM 7300, MFJ-998 Tuner, HRD Software as well as WSIT-X 1.8, I can operate on all HF (160m - 6m) band and all modes despite my humble setup.
In support I also have an ICOM SM-30, Heil Sound Elite Pro, RigExpert AA-230 ZOOM, MFJ-265 Dummy Load and a SignalLink USB which greatly supports my Digital Mode work.
In my car I have a ICOM 7000, with an Ameritron SDC-102 Screwdriver Antenna Controller driving my Tarheel 300A and a 6ft wip for 10m - 160m. For 2m and 70cm I have a Diamond SG7900 dual band Antenna.
Thanks for stopping by and 73
Dirk K1DH.
