Biography

Hello, and welcome to my QRZCQ page. :)

I'm a 26 year old Extra class licensee. My current setup's are a Flex Radio Systems SDR-1000 running on Windows 7 32 Bit and PowerSDR 2.3.5,an Icom 718 with IT-100 tuner, and a Heathkit SB-301 receiver with the SB-401 transmitter. They are fed from my bedroom into an HF-Edz 80-6m dipole mounted between the house and a tree in the front yard, and a Cushcraft R5 on the roof.

Some of my hobbies include Seti@Home, Satellite Tracking, Amateur Television, and Restoring vintage radios that need some TLC. Some of the vintage trancievers that I've restored from a non-working condition are my National NCX-3 and matching power supply, and a Heathkit HW-32 and 32A with their HP-23 power supply.

Some other radios I use from time to time are a Kenwood TS-520s, TS-820S, and Yaesu FT-901D with FL-2100B Amp.

Bands less used but hopefully used more in the near future are 6m, 2m and up. My main 2m and 70cm rigs are a Wouxun KG-UVD1P, and a few various Baofengs.

I also enjoy hiking, and going to the various Hamfests and coming home with new toys to fix and restore, as well as gaining new knowledge about what the wide world of electronics, Ham Radio, and life has to offer.

Like I always say, Amateur Radio is a step above dead air!

Hope to QSO with you on the air!!
