| Biography CALLSIGNS
I started as a SWL in the early 60's and was licensed in the 1980's as KA0UXG. Later I took the callsign of an old friend - W0YNY. I moved to St Thomas in the USVI in 2008 and took the NP2E callsign in January of 2015. Hurricane Irma took our boat in 2017 and we relocated back to Minnesota and I took the callsign K0XA in January of 2024.
BACKGROUND
I flew helicopters in the military and currently own a Champ with floats and skis. My career was as a manager in Aerospace and we lived in MN, AZ, WA and the USVI.
My major activity in retirement is travel. We have been to all seven continents and I have visited over 90 countries. My longest overland trek was the Pan American Highway which was over 17,500 miles and 100 days. Equipment Kenwood TS-480SAT |
