Biography

First licensed in 1969 as WN0WNF and upgraded to advanced in 1970 with call WA0WNF. Was very active until 1983 when other activities took priority. (Model Airplanes-Hi!!) Retired from US Postal service in 1997 and became poker and blackjack dealer. Retired for good in 2010 and the ham bug bit me again. Had to retake all tests and am currently Extra class.
Enjoy all aspects of ham radio and am presently limited to wire antennas only. I use an Icom 718 for all modes and am very happy with it. I do have DXCC and WAS, WAC from previous time as ham with the call of WA0WNF.
Always happy to Qsl anyway except Buro. I do require $1 plus sae for DX stations and SASE from stateside. Living on fixed income and postage rates are very high. Hope you understand. If you hear me on the air please give me a call.

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

Icom IC-718....MFJ-993B tuner....Windom OCF antenna cut at 3750 freq with 4:1 balun up about 25 feet. Works on all bands with the tuner quite well. As of 8/17/2014 I have
installed a hexbeam at 30 feet. Working well..
