Biography

Hi friends,

I am TAK, JM3UML, and got JA5 area Ham license since February 2023 as JJ5RWV.

Since September 2022, I have moved from Kobe to Imabari-city to enjoy my slow life with my wife.

We have built small wood-framed house. only 20m away from sea-coast, with nice wood-stove made by "Jirka Wein".

My house is on the Oomi-shima Island which IOTA is "AS-200", located between Onomichi, Hiroshima and Imabari, Ehime Prefecture.

There are 6 Islands and 7 bridges between Onomichi and Imabari, and there is famous "SHIMANAMI Expresshighway" where many Cyclist ride bikes.

Please check Youtube site for more detail: [4K] 「瀬戸内しまなみ海道」の絶景百景 Superb views along the Setouchi-Shimanami Kaido Sea Route in JAPAN - YouTube

I do operate from 80m to 10m mainly SSB mode with my home-brewed antennas:

- 80,40m = Trapped wire dipole antenna

- 20m = EFHW

- 17, 12m = Trapped wire V-shaped antenna using glass fiber fishing rods

- 15, 10m = Trapped 2 element wire Yagi antenna using glass fiber fishing rods

I do hope that we are able to meet some day on the Air in near future.
