| Biography My passion was born with Eng. Giuseppe Todatello (IZ0GKO). When I was a 12-year-old boy (in 1972), I remember that on Sunday morning I went to the house of Eng. Giuseppe to listen to the QSOs he made with his self-built transmitter with thermionic tubes. In those days, everything seemed like a miracle. Eng. Giuseppe helped me build my first two transistor FM transmitter and my first AM receiver with 1 thermionic tube.
I studied the basics of electronics with the Radio Elettra School of Turin. Later with the help of my dear friend Francesco Pascuzzi IZ8AXJ I continued my passion for QSOs and in 1997 I got my license as a radio amateur. With the Cushcraft ATV5 antenna I have made more than 2000 QSOs in CW with all the continents of the world. I stood still for about 15 years because my Icom 737 transceiver went out of service. Thanks to the IZ8AXJ repair, in 2021 I resumed CW activity on the 14/21/28 MHz frequencies.
I thank everyone who connected me. 73 Tony. Ciao. Worked DXCCs: |
