Biography

Classe 1979, vivo in Salento, a Squinzano, una Città a 15 Km a nord da Lecce.

La mia passione per l’elettronica nasce alla tenera età di 8 anni quando, per la prima volta, ho iniziato a smontare i miei giocattoli elettronici per la sola curiosità di sapere “come funziona”.

Il regalo più bello, durante il periodo natalizio del 1990, mi fu donato da mio padre : il mio primo saldatore, completo di accessori e un KIT della G.P.E. Elettronica da assemblare: una pallina da appendere all’albero di natale che suonava motivi natalizi quando “sentiva” battere le mani!

Il mio primo apparato CB, un Midland Alan 44 regalatomi da un mio zio diventato poi radioamatore, mi avvicinò al fantastico mondo della radio... il fascino di poter parlare con tante persone a migliaia di Km di distanza mi rubò il cuore. A 18 anni, Tecnico Elettronico delle telecomunicazioni, nell’anno successivo chiamato di leva nell’Arma dei Carabinieri fino 2003 dove svolgevo, dal 2001, attività di esperto informatico e telecomunicazioni nella Caserma del Comando Provinciale di Brindisi.

Nel 2005, assunto nel Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, svolgo ad oggi la mansione di Tecnico elettronico esperto nella riparazione e collaudo dei convertitori statici di potenza (3000V cc – 380 ac) e manutentore dei sistemi tecnologici di bordo riguardanti la sicurezza marcia treno (comunicazioni radio treno-terra).

Nel 2007 conseguo la licenza di radioamatore con il nominativo IZ7JWR iscrivendomi in ARI nello stesso anno. Dopo un periodo di allontanamento forzato dai miei hobby, tra cui la radio, a causa della perdita prematura di mio padre nel 2011, riprendo l’attività radiantistica nel 2015 scoprendo, nell’anno successivo, il mondo delle comunicazioni radioamatoriali digitali che mi hanno consentito di conoscere molti altri amici OM appassionati.

Nel 2016 due colleghi radioamatori del veneto, apprendendo delle mie passioni in elettronica, informatica e radiantismo, mi presentavano le attività dell’ Associazione CISAR che fin da subito hanno stuzzicato la mia curiosità ed interesse.

Nel 2017 la mia domanda di adesione al CISAR e nel febbraio 2018 fondatore, insieme a 4 altri amici OM, della Sezione di Lecce, della quale ancora oggi sono rappresentante. Tale scelta però, ha fatto sì che in ARI mi applicassero art. 13 del regolamento interno vietandomi il rinnovo al sodalizio.

Nel periodo 2017/2018 il CISAR mi ha dato possibilità di apprendere e nel contempo prestare le mie conoscenze tecniche e informatiche del mondo delle comunicazioni DMR, con il Server BM 2223, oggi ormai perso.

Nel 2018 l’attuale CDN mi affida l’ incarico di Manager Nazionale per i protocolli D-Star e C4FM, nello stesso tempo il Team Internazionale BM mi offre l’occasione di rappresentare il CISAR nel Team BrandMeister Italia del quale ancora oggi faccio parte. La passione e la dedizione per il CISAR mi porta, nel corso del 2019, a studiare approfonditamente alcuni linguaggi di programmazione per poter in seguito realizzare una dashboard interattiva per il nostro Link Nazionale in SVXLink. Infine, la decisione di candidarmi come Consigliere Nazionale per poter offrire quanto più possibile a questa straordinaria associazione che, oltre a darmi grosse soddisfazioni a livello sperimentale, mi ha accolto sin da subito dandomi la possibilità di conoscere grandi OM con preparazioni tecniche di alti livelli; candidatura che mi ha portato ad essere Presidente Nazionale dell' Associazione Nazionale C.I.S.A.R. (Centro Italiano Sperimentazioni ed Attività Radiantistiche) che con onore e dedizione rappresento.

Born in 1979, I live in Salento, in Squinzano, a city 15 km north of Lecce.

My passion for electronics was born at the tender age of 8 when, for the first time, I started taking apart my

electronic toys just out of curiosity to know "how it works". The best gift, during the Christmas period of 1990,

was given to me by my father: my first welder, complete with accessories and a G.P.E. Electronics to assemble:

a ball to hang on the Christmas tree that played Christmas motifs when "heard" clapping!

My first CB device, a Midland Alan 44 given to me by an uncle of mine who later became a radio amateur, brought me

closer to the fantastic world of radio ... the charm of being able to talk to so many people thousands of kilometers

away stole my heart. At the age of 18, Electronic Telecommunications Technician, in the following year called to

conscript in the Carabinieri until 2003 where, from 2001, I worked as an IT and telecommunications expert in the

Barracks of the Provincial Command of Brindisi.

In 2005, hired by the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group, I am currently an electronic technician expert in the

repair and testing of static power converters (3000V dc - 380 ac) and maintenance of on-board technological systems

relating to train travel safety (communications train-to-ground radio).

In 2007 I obtained the amateur radio license with the name IZ7JWR, enrolling in ARI in the same year. After a period

of forced removal from my hobbies, including radio, due to the premature loss of my father in 2011, I resumed the

radio activity in 2015, discovering, in the following year, the world of digital amateur radio communications that

allowed me to meet many other passionate OM friends.

In 2016, two fellow radio amateurs from Veneto, learning about my passions in electronics, information technology

and radio, introduced me to the activities of the CISAR Association that immediately piqued my curiosity and interest.

In 2017 my application to join CISAR and in February 2018 founder, together with 4 other OM friends, of the Lecce

Section, of which I am still a representative today. However, this choice meant that ARI applied art. 13 of the

internal regulations prohibiting me from renewing the association.

In the 2017/2018 period, CISAR gave me the opportunity to learn and at the same time lend my technical and IT

knowledge of the world of DMR communications, with the BM 2223 Server, now lost.

In 2018 the current CDN entrusted me with the role of National Manager for the D-Star and C4FM protocols, at the

same time the BM International Team offers me the opportunity to represent CISAR in the BrandMeister Italy Team of

which I still belong today. The passion and dedication for CISAR leads me, during 2019, to study in depth some

programming languages ​​in order to later create an interactive dashboard for our National Link in SVXLink.

Finally, the decision to apply as National Councilor to be able to offer as much as possible to this extraordinary

association which, in addition to giving me great satisfactions on an experimental level, welcomed me right away,

giving me the opportunity to meet great OMs with high-level technical training; candidacy that led me to be National

President of the National Association C.I.S.A.R. (Italian Center for Radio Experiments and Activities) which I represent with honor and dedication.
