Biography

I'm a software developer, Linux and Open Source evangelist. I like innovative technologies. Radio is one of my main interests. I've been operating on 11m band from 1974 until 1981 (at JM49ge, Sardinia Island which is my homeland), and lately since September 2008, after a very long QRT. Radio and electronics enthusiast, SWL during the Seventies.

I got my U.S.A. General Class License in May 2009 [KJ4MIU].

I got my Italian hamradio operator license in Jan 2011 and my Italian call sign [IZ2UQF] in Feb 2011.

I like QRP, CW and digital modes.

Member of ARRL.

My preferred way to QSL is LOTW but I also confirm my QSOs on eQSL (AG). I upload my logs very frequently. If you like to exchange classic paper QSL cards, I always send back mine 100% upon reception (direct, no bureau, no contribution nor SAE are required).
