Ciao a tutti! Mi chiamo Emiliano e trasmetto dalla provincia di Pistoia (Toscana).

La mia storia in radio La mia passione per l'etere nasce lontano, nel 1983, quando acquistai il mio primo CTE 350 SSB. Iniziai l'attività in 27 MHz, dove feci i miei primi indimenticabili QSO e DX. Purtroppo, nel 1987, una serie di eventi personali mi portò ad abbandonare questo splendido hobby.

Dopo una lunga pausa, la scintilla si è riaccesa: a novembre 2025 ho sostenuto l'esame e dal dicembre 2025 sono finalmente attivo con il mio nominativo ministeriale IU5VKT. È stato come tornare a casa!

Obiettivi futuri Il mio prossimo grande traguardo? Imparare il CW. Spero presto di poter scambiare un "73" con voi usando il tasto telegrafico!

Hello! My name is Emiliano, operating from Tuscany, Italy.

My journey into radio started back in 1983 with a CTE 350 SSB on the 27 MHz band. Those early DX contacts sparked a lifelong passion. However, in 1987, life took me in different directions and I had to leave the hobby for many years. The flame never truly went out. In November 2025, I passed my amateur radio exam, and since December 2025, I am officially on the air as IU5VKT. It feels great to be back!

Future Goals My next challenge is mastering CW. I hope to meet you on the air soon for a Morse code QSO!

Equipment

La Stazione (Setup) Attualmente la mia stazione è in evoluzione, composta da:

Radio: Icom IC-7300 (acquistato usato da I5OYF-Antonio) ed un glorioso Kenwood TS-850 (in prestito da un amico squlacciapaperi) , Portatile Baofeng AR-K6 multiband, portatile Midland G9 PRO solo pmr.

Antenne: Verticale Sirio New Tornado 5/8 (10/11m) e un dipolo a V invertita per le bande dei 10, 15 e 20 metri.

Operatività: Mi trovate principalmente in HF (SSB, AM, FT8, FT4) e nelle bande locali 2m/70cm in FM.

Transceivers: Icom IC-7300 and Kenwood TS-850 and 30A Power Supply: borrow me from my friend "Squalacciapaperi - Baofeng AR-K6 multiband handheld- Midland G9 PRO: PMR446 handheld.

.Antennas: Sirio New Tornado 5/8 vertical (10/11m) and an Inverted V Dipole for 10, 15, and 20 meters.

Modes: Active in HF (SSB, AM, FT8, FT4) and VHF/UHF (FM).
