Biography

Thank you very much for watching my ham-profile. My name is Paolo and I live in Roma, in the very centre of Italy, with my wife, two daughters and a little white dog! At the age of 13, I started the radio communications in the citizen band (27 MHz), always looking for a new approach to the radio DIY, especially in antenna design and construction. Finally, I have realized my goal to achieve a Ham radio licence.

After a while working on 2m & 70cm to understand tha basis of radio propagation (and easy antenna homebrewing, of course), actually I'm focused on HF (mainly on 20m band)!

Equipment

Yaesu FT-7900 as a home based transceiver for VHF & UHF and a little Baofeng GT3 for outdoor happyness. The dualband antenna is a Diamond X-30 replacing a homebrew J-Pole made by copper pipe, destroyed by our last storm!
Yaesu FT-757 GXII and a manual tuner Kenwood AT-200 for HF operations with a homebrew DeltaLoop made with fiber glass fishing rods.
