Biography

I was born in 1971, but I've been raised with radio since 1982, when my father, IS0URA was studying CW for his licence. My actual licence was taken at the end of June 2018, so I'm a newbie according to papers, but a pro according to my whole life in the world of radio.
I live in a five-storey building, and my only antennas are two dipoles on the balcony on the second floor. What with the less than optimal working conditions and the low solar activity, I count myself lucky that I have some QSO’s on my log!
I'm mostly active in FT-8 but only because of these bad conditions. I hope to be able to mount a new antenna on top of the roof soon, but meanwhile I have to make do with my present working conditions.

My american Vanity Callsign is K0URA, General Class.

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

I mostly use the new Icom IC-7300 and old Icom IC-735 controlled via CAT for digital modes, with an old 500w valve amp (ERE HL-1200, made in Italy in the '80s) and a Magnum Mt-3000B (also made in Italy by Daniele Frignani I4FDX) manual ATU.
Sometimes I use my old Kenwood TS-180S with MC-50 for its wonderful and warm audio response.
Sometimes I go portable on my house near the seaside, on the east coast of Sardinia, where I can use a full size dipole for 40 meters and a Hy-Gain 12AVQ vertical for 10/15/20 meters.
