| Biography Welcome to I2BGQ's info page. I begun the radio as a SWL when I was 13, my call was I1-11140, and got my OM license in 1968 originally as I1BGQ. While keeping my OM call I suspended the radio beeing busy for many years with the family and my job as an audio-video engineer and then a documentary director/editor. In 200I the passion for ham radio returned, and since now I am active on HF bands in SSB, but mostly from 40 to 10, and experimenting PSK31, FT8 etc. modes. I operate on VHF and UHF bands too, in SSB, FM including digital modes. My working conditions are: rtx Icom IC-9700, IC-705, IC-7610 and Icom IC-2KL 500W linear amplifier. I got also an Hallicrafters SR-400 Cyclone, the tube transceiver I dreamt when I was first licensed in the '70s. At the moment my antennas are: a Ciro Mazzoni Baby-Loop (from 40 to 10 m.) and a vertical Diamond V5000 for 1200, UHF, VHF. For portable field use: 8 elements yagi for 144 MHz, 8 elements yagi for 430 Mhz and 22 turns helical for 1200 Mhz. Qsl cards from SWLs are appreciated, my reply is granted. Currently I am no longer member of the Italian Amateur Radio Association (ARI). So please send your QSL confirmation only direct to my e-mail address or via eQSL, not via the Bureau as I am not member anymore. Thankyou for visiting my page. I would be glad to meet you on the bands. 73’s. Pino. Worked DXCCs: Equipment Icom IC-7610 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
