Biography

Hi all

I am 70 years old. Retired from the Danish military in 2016 as Chief Master Sergeant of the Royal Danish Air Force.

I am now living here in Switzerland (Näfels, Kanton Glarus)) with my wife Hanne.

We have found a fantastic house in the mountains, 1074 meters ASL (3524 feet ASL)

I have been a radio amateur since October 1978 and still have my callsigns in Denmark OZ1EQC and OV2V.

I am using the Yaesu FTdx-101MP (all filters installed).

I use a Yaesu FL-7000 600watt amplifier when chasing rare DX.

I am so lucky that I also have the legendary Ten Tec Orion 565 transceivers. It is impressive that it is almost as good as the FTdx-101MP. The receiver is outstanding. I have one of them on the bench right now for installation of an SDR-Receiver system. The unit will have an outstandingly good SDR add-on.

Besides that, I have an Icom IC-746 for 2-meter use.

I have a Yaesu FT-991, which I have with me on my holidays in Denmark.

Just invested in a Hexbeam 6 - 20 meters. It works fantastically.

For 80 to 30 meters, I use an Eantenna Fan Dipole.

You can find me on the CW portions of the bands :-)
