Biography

Hi All, thanks for visiting my page
For more informations about me please visit my page at
http://www.hb9gce.ch

Licensed amateur radio operator since 1996, active in radio since 1971. Passionate about DX, QSLs, and exploring the airwaves for over 50 years.
Radio is my lifelong companion and window to the world.

I discovered the magic of radio in 1971, beginning a lifelong journey into the world of signals, propagation, and communication.
For more than 50 years, radio has been my true passion, a constant companion that inspired me learning, experimentation,
and friendship across the airwaves. In 1996 I achieved my amateur radio license, officially joining the worldwide community of radio amateurs.
Since then, I had been active on multiple bands, enjoying DX contacts, exchanging QSL cards, and participating in contests and technical experimentation.
My station has evolved over the years, but my enthusiasm for exploring propagation, antennas, and new modes of communication has remained unchanged.
For me, amateur radio is not only a technical pursuit but also a way to connect with people and cultures around the globe.
Each contact carries the spirit of discovery, bridging distances and creating lasting friendships.
After more than half a century, my passion for radio continues to be as strong as the very first day, and the airwaves remain my window to the world.

“50 years on the bands, and still chasing the magic.”
