Biography
Some information about me:
I’m a retired electrical engineer (MSc). My age is 81 in the year of 2014. The fields of my activity were on R&D of FM Broadcasting transmitters and mobile (two-way) radio networks.
I’ve been started HAM radio in 1947 as a SWL (HA249RS) when I was 14. From 1949 on I worked as an operator on several club stations (HA5B, HA5BX, HA5BP, HA5KBA etc). I passed my HAM exam in 1951.
I stopped my club station activity in 1957 and after then it followed a long intermission until 1999 when I have started HAM radio again by asking for and received my present HAM license (HA5OGH).
I am working mostly in SSB mode on the 20 to 10 meter frequency bands.
Equipment
My present working conditions:
Kenwood TS 450 S transceiver approx 100 W output, MFJ tunable DSP, manually tuned ATU and (as a temporary solution) an end-fed sloper antenna and small magnetic loop (STM).
