Biography
My name is Ferkai László. Since my childhood interest in radio technology. In 1970 I joined the HA5KKO club station. I put down the "A" and "B" grade amateur radio exams. For years, I worked as club station operator.
Since in my residence was not possible to establish a short-wave antenna, so is not switched to an individual call sign. Rather, I have migrated to the CB radio communication.
In 2010, has been applied for and received individual amateur radio card. CEPT license. My call signe is HA5FLY, which I was happy because the "fly" in English means flying, which I can identify with.
I am electronics technician and electrical engineer. I built equipment too.
There is still no chance to install large antennas, and I "got used" to compromise antennas to experiment. Quite a lot of time I spent preparing magnetic loop antennas.
My favorite mode is CW (Morse). Already only the radio amateurs uses it. Low-power, and ease of transmitting device can be successfully marketed it.
Currently, up to 80m-10m am QRV as well as the 2m band. Mostly QRP power. I like old rigs.
Not looking for the antenna towers and kilowatt performance. The simple, cost-effective and innovative solutions like.
