. .Now retired . Moved qth from England over to the west in South Wales in 2005./was off thecair for 3 years due to this move. Eventually got up and running. Main interest has been CW and building gear. Cw suffered badly after a 3 year break and never be able to get my speed up again. Use ssb more now along with data modes. Always had an interest in computers. Early years was home made computers before the windows days using CPM varients. So data modes and computers blended in nicely after owning three mechanical telex machines. More recently building valve gear, vintagevradio. Built a near replica psraset and now got the bug for regenerative receivers. Also home brew solid state gear and still building . latest project am EF50 Vintage Radio in memory of my late Father who inspired me with his home brew inventions etc. He was not a radio ham. As kids we had home made TV sets and radios. So my early years was educated on valves. TV set used EF50s . I will record his details into the radio set as documents buried inside and hand over to the younger family to treasure it hopefully.
