Biography

** Due to online fraud using call signs trawled from around the 'net, I have no equipment for sale or the need to buy anything....**

Located in IO86ba....

First licensed in the late 1980s, later returned to SWL'ing, and became active again in late 2008. Active from my home QTH on HF and VHF, if I'm out on my bike, 2m handheld in my handlebar bag

Active on 2m FM and SSB plus 4m FM whilst doing any SOTA or other hilltop work, , G/LD-050 was the most recently activated.

On HF, active on FT8, FT4, with occasionally WSPR, PSK, JT65 and JT9.

Still using the older data modes like T10 etc.

WAS update : finally achieved....

My WAB (Worked All Britain) for my Denny QTH - IO86ba is NS 88 FAL (2020 on), for my previous QTH - IO75pw was NS 37 IVC.(2008–2019)....any problem? Drop an email.

HF antenna is an 'end feed'.

Blog HERE about my radio and other adventures.

My photo is of me at the summit of Stob na Doire, Glencoe working on a SOTA station after activating the nearby summit of Buchaille Etive Mor.

Other interests are cycling, hill walking and benchmarking.

My QSL preferences,

I prefer eQSL, LoTW, ClubLog and QRZ.com, but paper cards are welcome through the Bureau. I will exchange cards by direct mail. If you need my card direct, please email me first!

Please NO electronic email QSLs !!!!

Member of Falkirk and District Amateur Radio Society (GMØFRC)

I'm a RSGB member. If you have sent me a card since 2009 and have had no return, please contact me by my email address and I will return the card ASAP. I did note on my pre-2015 bio, I had no bureau facility.

Other groups are GQRP, SOC, WAB.

Thanks for stopping by....

DX Code Of Conduct

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
