Biography

Introduced to Amateur Radio in the 1960's via a combination of Short Wave magazine and listening to AM transmissions on 40 metres on the old house valve radio.

Radio Amateurs Examination and Morse Test taken in December 1969 and licenced as GM3ZDH in February 1970.

Radio Officer at Wick Radio / GKR from 1972 following on as Station Manager at that station for a period of time then transferring to Oban Radio / GNE. In 1980 transferred to become Radio Surveyor at the Ship Radio Inspection Office in Glasgow, later becoming the Principal Radio Surveyor for West of Scotland (and, later again, taking in Northern Ireland).

Nowadays retired and spending time between Glasgow, Ireland and Mallorca.
