This Callsign Is Original To My Late Grandfather He Liked To Be called POP
Aka Johny Martin The Callsign Began As 3SG In 1936 A 10Watt Experimental
Licence then in 1937 He Was allocated The GI Prefix
POP was Vey Adept At CW Mainly ON 40/80m Using 6L6 PA @ 10WS In The 1930s
In the 1960s I Sat In his Shack HIs Equippment 807 Valves/PA @150W PEP
And Small H/Brew Minibeam Turned From Within The Shack Using a System Of Cogs And Pinions and Car Steering Wheel:) I Was Hooked On Radio From That Moment And spent
Many Years As A SWL. In 2000 I Took The Foundation Exam And Became MI3UDX
In 2003 I Passed The Final RAE Exam And Was Priveled To Be Asked By My Late
Uncle And Family To Use His Callsigm
